Phoenix Industries Expanding in South Florida
Winter Haven, Florida-January 12, 2009—Phoenix Industries, LLC, headquartered in Winter Haven, Florida, is expanding their North Miami terminal from its strategic current location less than one mile from Interstate 95, to an 80,000 square foot food grade freezer and cooler facility, located less than a block from their present address. Phoenix Industries has been operating in South Florida for the past year, in conjunction with their Central Florida warehousing and transportation operations, serving national and international customers.
“Our new location will allow us to offer combined public cold storage and multi-temperature services in the South Florida market, just as we have been doing in Central Florida since 1978,” said Bill Bailey, Director of Business Development for Phoenix Industries.
Phoenix Industries will continue to offer cross-dock services, ocean and rail freight container loading and unloading, LTL (less than truckload) distribution, truckload consolidation, pool distribution and next-day delivery services for multi-temperature products throughout the Florida peninsula.
“We’re scheduled to take occupancy of the facility on February 1st and will immediately commence enhancements to assure and maintain the highest standards in food safety,” said Bruce Bachman, President of Phoenix Industries.
It is anticipated that Phoenix Industries will add at least 10 additional warehouse staff and distribution drivers by year end. With this expansion, Phoenix Industries will operate more than 400,000 square feet of multi-temperature facilities in Florida, complemented by an expanding fleet of distribution trucks.
Lyndon Valerie, a highly respected and 25-year industry veteran, will serve as General Manager of the facility and Director of Phoenix’s South Florida operations. Phoenix Industries is a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlanticblue; a diversified real estate management organization based in Lake Wales, Florida.
